Artist James Welling at the Galerie Marian Goodman in Paris, France

A self-taught, talented photographer from Connecticut, who started experimenting in the dark room in the 1970´s, James Welling is really an amazing postmodern artist. He creates images using light and chemical solutions (among other complicated techniques), blurring lines between photos and paintings. He has a very special way of superimposing images on top of each other and creating truly unique art pieces! Color is the key to the featured pieces at the exhibition. His work is part of the permanent collections at Metropolitan Museum of Art and Museum of Modern Art in New York, Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, and Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, among others.

I met with Nicolas Nahab, Director of the gallery…check out this short video clip
